Do your flavours contain sugar or sweeteners?

Our flavours do not contain sweeteners, but most are sugar-based. Only the natural flavours of lemon (zest), organic cherry, organic exotic fruits, organic rose, mint, green apple, amaretto, salted butter caramel, sweet almond, orange blossom, blueberry, kiwi, melon and panettone are sugar-free.

Why are your flavourings described as natural despite the presence of additives?

According to European regulations, our flavourings are natural. Additives are added in small quantities to ensure a shelf life of at least one year without altering the naturalness of the product.

What does the best before date on your flavourings mean?

The best before date This is an indicative date and not an expiry date. After this date, the product poses no health risk but may lose some of its taste qualities.

Where are your flavours made and where do the raw materials come from?

All our flavours are made in France (PACA region 06). The raw materials vary according to harvests, seasons and global demand.

What is an X flavouring?

Food flavourings are governed by Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008 of 16 December 2008, which determines the ‘legal status of flavourings’ according to their ingredients: artificial flavouring / natural flavouring / natural flavouring of X / natural flavouring of X with other natural flavourings.In accordance with this regulation, all our flavourings are at least natural flavourings. For some, the legal status is ‘natural flavouring’, for others ‘natural flavouring of X’ (which means that at least 95% of the flavouring substance comes from the product mentioned). It should also be noted that all organic flavourings are classified as ‘natural flavouring of X’ (within the meaning of Articles 16.2, 16.3 and 16.4 of Regulation (EC) No. 1334/2008 on flavourings (point 2.2.2 b) of Annex II, Part IV of Regulation (EU) No. 848/2018). Furthermore, ‘natural flavourings of X’ are flavourings that are compatible with the manufacture of organic products.
